Carradine is a 3-4 DE.
Not questioning your football knowledge by any means, but are you sure this guy is being recruited as a DE for us. He has the perfect build for a rush LB like our Jack @ 6'5 255lbs. Plus I thought pass rush was his specialty. He will be a Jr. and our DE's are averaging about 280 right now. Just wondering if you had inside info on how we were planning to use this guy? Thx Capstone.

Per Scout, he was supposed to announce a decision by next week. I am not an insider so I cant read the article, but it did have a question on whether or not he still plans to announce. I also saw Scout upgraded him to a 5-Star DE, which is extremely rare regarding JUCO's. I hope we can get this guy especially since we have been slipping in the J. Clowney sweepstakes. Does anyone have any more info regarding him and his announcement?

If you go to You Tube and punch in his name, the only video is of him as a SR in high school. He clearly is a relentless pass rusher, the type of guy Bama desperately needs. Would love to see him in crimson.
Sounds a lot like Hubbard from last years recruiting class..Hubbard will terrorize QB's for a couple years before he turns Pro..

i agree that he'll more than likely be a Jack LB in our defense if he comes to Bama. We depend on our DE's to be closer to a DT than a LB thus our DEs being 280-300 lb guys. thats just how Saban's scheme is

i tend to think this guys a DE next year if we get him. I know hes lighter than our other D linemen, but I think Saban may see an issue with having 280 DEs only, part of why our pass rush was lacking this year. besides after spring ball the guy may be closer to 270 if the s and c program does its job.

I doubt 15 lbs is going to make all that much difference for this guy. He's the speed rush guy Bama DESPERATELY needs in obvious passing downs.

I saw on Tider Insider this morning he is making his decision on Wednesday. I really want us to get this guy and hope he decides to be part of this class.

The latest word is that Bama is passing on Carradine. He wants to be an early enrollee and Bama does not have room for him befieve it or not. It looks like FSU will be his choice on Wednesday.

If we don't have room that tells me the coaches know who will sign. What is the exact or speculated number of recruits Bama plans to take this year? Is Carradine a one and done type player? If so that may be one of the reasons we're passing him up. Anyway he sure looks like a big time prospect at a position of need. It's hard to believe we would pass on him???? Maybe this move adds a level of truth to the rumors of A. Hubbard DE from the '10 class being a big time pass rusher.

He has 3 to play 2 still wherever he goes, but OSU fans are not happy with the way he used them on their dime last weekend.

Carradine, a Junior College recruit, was scheduled to officially visit Ohio State this weekend but did not make it to Columbus. Carradine took the flight as planned, but instead of traveling to Columbus for his official visit, he used the opportunity to go home to Cincinnati to see his mother. He essentially used Ohio State's interest in him to bum a free plane trip home

I think the numbers are tight and the same with D Hart we can only add so many to our class as EEs. Now I am curious because I heard the staff is visiting with L Mackey today. So maybe they just do not see him for our program and if they are sure on some others maybe they have no problem on passing. I saw on one board where they wanted him to wait and not be an EE. If true our numbers might be hurting us here a little.
