Jukes and Cloyd Gone?????

Put it this way....Jukes was not on the bench tongiht in nashville!

and cloyd hasnt been there for some time
 
Why do we have so many transfers? I think it is a problem. I like Gottfried, and he gets good recruits, but does not play them. I know we have some experienced players ahead of the freshmen, but for years it seems like our bench has not been deep bc we only have about a 7 or 8 man rotation. I think he must promise playing time and then does not get it. Maybe they don't earn it, but possibly they are not given a ligitimate shot. Glen Miles, Albert Weber, Akini Atkins, Shawn Taylor, Justin Jonus, Verice Cloyd, Justin Tubbs, Lakory Daniels.... I feel like this is too many transfers over a 3 year period. I find it kind of puzzling. For having such a good program, I feel like we should not have that much turnover.

justin tubbs isnt transfering so take him off that list

Bama has played 8 or more this season. Although the starters play heavy minutes. If anything he may be getting too many talented players that won't work and wait a year to play. He should go after more good players that are strong defenders.
 
Is it just me or did it seem like CMG wasn't completely enamored with Verice Cloyd after his whole soap opera played out? I got the feeling that he could have gone either way in regards to a scholarship offer and wouldn't have had his feelings hurt if Cloyd didn't attend.

Anyone agree/disagree?
 
I meant Avery Jukes, not Tubbs. I like Gottfried. I think he is a really good coach. I just think the number of transfers is weird, and then it causes depth issues because we are constantly bringing in freshmen, who obviously are not ready to play. They get tired of not playing, they transfer, thus we have no depth. Would it not have been worth playing Miles or Weber a little more, so we might have a quality backup to Steele now that he is hurt? I know Weber played some and did not play very well, but he had the potential to be a great player, but seemed to lack confidence. I just wonder if the coaches work with some of these freshmen, who do not have the ability to be stars, but do have the ability to be great role players.
 
I had heard that Cloyd was transferring, but I didn't know Jukes was going to transfer. I have not seen either of them play all year so it doesn't surprise me.

Jukes probably does not play as much as Jemison because Jemison is very fundamentally sound and gets rebounds. I have heard Jukes is a little passive but he is a really good player. I hope this is a rumor and he stays.
