Very good news!

"You think you have seen it all until tonight. Keith Brown, a wide receiver from Florida's panhandle committed to Alabama. Brown, from Pensacola, wrote down two teams on a piece of paper and put them in a hat. The names of those two teams - Alabama and Southern Miss".

Bama 5 time in a row! It's BAMA!
Brown is the Tide's 25th commitment. Chances appear favorable that he'll qualify academically

Looks like if things go our way we will have to ask some some folks to grey shirt, I know some are prepared for that, but when will that be made known officially? on signing day? or do they have some time to work out the details before compliance, or do they have until fall to work that out?

Pensacola coach Mike Bennett met Brown last spring when the player stopped by with two of his cousins who live in the school's district.

"He (Brown) told me he was going to come out for football," Bennett said Thursday. "I was like, 'Yeah, OK.' A lot of times that never pans out."

The coach wasn't quite so skeptical after Brown showed up for a summer workout and, according to Bennett, blazed the 40-yard dash in 4.25 seconds.

"I didn't believe it," Bennett said, "so I had another coach time Keith and he got him at 4.29."

Bennett quickly made use of his blinding speed in Pensacola's opener, scoring on a dazzling 70-yard pass against nationally ranked Tallahassee Lincoln on the first play of the game.

For the year, Brown had 56 receptions for 1,310 yards and scored 25 TDs (including two on kick returns) for the Tigers, who went 9-3 and reached the second round of the Class 4A playoffs. Brown capped his senior season last week by being named his team's offensive MVP in the CaliFlorida Bowl all-star game near Los Angeles.

"Keith's got great speed and great athletic ability, but he's also got a tremendous attitude," Bennett said. "Wherever he goes to college, he'll be successful."

Just watched the video on Brown and this kid can go and get the ball...something we have been missing. This is going to be some kind of fun over the next 4 years!
