For Alabama, getting out to a good start will restore confidence in both the team and the fans. Last year, the Tide was successful in getting to the foul line and knocking down the 3 to beat the Cats. Kentucky has shot consistently well from the foul line in SEC play, and Alabama needs to limit their attempts.

For Kentucky, containing Mo Williams is a key to victory. When they shut down Chris Thomas, they shut down Notre Dame. Team defense has made them into a top 10 team. In addition, the Cats need to get to the foul line (only 8 attempts vs. Alabama last year) and continue to get scoring from all over.

What are some more?

Dribble penetration, & movement without the ball. Bama has not gone to the line IMO b/c they are settling for the long jumper instead of driving the ball, I would even try running some clearouts with Mo if they covered man to man. Plus our guards really seem to complacent when somebody else has the rock especially when someone gets trapped, I think they need to move around & quit waiting for the ball to come them, & try to make something happen.

I really do think that Bama will win Saturday..no doubt. UK is playing very well right now & Bama is not, & the stage is set for Bama to "Give'em Hell" Saturday! RTR!

Protect the ball, hit open shots, make some transition baskets, and don't go more than 3 minutes without scoring. Play Meade to keep UK's guards from rebounding. Only give the ball to Dudley in the post when he is less than 15 feet from the basket.

They do need to cut back on turnovers, & protect the ball.

Uh, aren't both of those sort of the same thing?

Obviously, the fewer turnovers the better, for any game, not just Sat. against KY.

However, based on what I have seen over the last few games, I think the Tide needs to concentrate on moving both the ball and the players. Don't just stand there! Do something! Also, flying down the court on occasion wouldn't be bad either.

I would love to see more baskets in the transition game. I just love an up-tempo style of play. A team struggling from outside needs to get more lay-up chances, or just better looks at the hoop! Give em' Hell Bama!!!

REBOUNDING
Defensive -Keep UK from getting 2nd chances.
Offensive - More than 1 chance for Bama on the offensive end. If you shoot 33% and get 3 tries each time with the ball you will score everytime.
Roll Tide

Defensively against Ole Miss we were neither getting in the passing lanes nor fighting through the screens they set. This made for easy lay ups and wide open three point shots.

Offensively, we have got to hit our outside shots and make them play us straight up. Otherwise they will double team ED all game and if he doesn't have a good game I'm afraid it will be a long night.

RTR! Beat the Cats!

This team is missing only one ingredient, that separates them from a NIT bound team to final 4 bound team. Someone who can make the open outside shot be it the 2 or the 3.
This will get the 5 opponent players out of the lane and off Dudley's back. Dudley would score in the high 20's or 30's every game if we had any kind of outside game.
