Sacrificing a Dem this election is the perfect long-term plan for Billary Clingon to runaway with 2008.
Being that she'll be the first potential woman to run for Pres, she knows, as everybody knows, will need all the momentum she can get.
What better way to solidify the Dem vote than to have 8 years of Bush.
That didn't come out right, but you know what I mean.
If the Republicans want to challenge Billary in 2008, they'd better be grooming a heck of a candidate NOW.
Kerry will be slammed by the White House as soon as he's anointed, and he won't seem quite so successful and smooth (this is beginning already).
I also expect some ploy(s) by the Bush administration to raise the "panic level" to outrageous levels to frighten and alarm the populace into denying a liberal the presidency during a "time of war".
Bush is starting to look a little too moderate and losing some R voters to third party candidates, but will come storming back at the right time to "save" the country from attack, swinging the far right wishywashers back into the fray.
Politics are amusing, and the more I know, the less I care. Bush could do well to use his strengths and not stonewall issues that the D uses to attack him.
There are more informed voters these days with the internet, and more chance for a third party candidate to spoil his 2004 run.
Remember Perot?
At least Republicans seem to want to run the country, and not just pander to polls on social issues to stay in power like the demoncraps do (see Bill Klint'n.)
Hell, I'd vote a Powell/Rice ticket before I'd vote for liberal hogwashers.
Powell's a hard-core, knowledgeable patriot and Condi's from Alabami'. I could care less about their skin color as long as I thought they were in it to RUN the COUNTRY instead of running to the polls for advice.
