Kines can't hold back

Agreed but Bama also had a lead right off the bat 7 zip. Then 14 zip. That frees Kines to let the dogs go. By contrast in the Miss game we didnt. We played most everything in fromt of us on D. If we can get a decent lead on Tenn early then we can put pressure big time on Clausen. Otherwise it will be a game like the one we played against Ole Miss.

Exactly, in a defensive struggle you don't want to give them a chance to bust a big one on you. You play it close to the vest hoping they will make a mistake, either or O or D, that will allow you a lead and a little leway. You get a lead and you can turn the pachyderms loose. Had Bama been able to punch it in on the first drive, against OM, it would have been a completely different ball game. Still, we will be able to put more pressure on the utk QB's because they are not as mobile as Spurlock. Bama 24 utk 13

From listening to some people talk, you would think we gave up 30 points to Ole Miss and not 10. The defense kept us in the game giving Brodie and Christensen the opportunity to pull off the win saturday. In a tight defensive game ( like saturday's) you just don't want to take too many risks and let them get a big play on you. Plus I am sure that kines did not want Ut to see too much. I am sure he will have a great game plan for the vols saturday and our defense will dominate...RTR
