I haven't heard anything about him in a while excpet that UA and AU aboth want him.. We were his leader in the fall. He stated at one time he wanted to play in a 3-4defense. Anyone kow where we currently stand?

I want him badly

Seems to be a lot of differant opinions on young Mr. Fanning. He does have a lot of interest and Kirby Smart is his recruiter. Of course he's from Auburn (Auburn HS), but you couldn't ask for better than Coach Smart's evaluation!

He moved from somewhere in GA to Auburn... his Mom got a job there somehow.. ;)

I don't even think he's lived in Auburn for a whole year yet. I agree though, I want him bad.

I wonder what affect Quinton Dial will have on the recruitment of Fanning. With a year under his belt in juco Dial could be a force to be reckoned with. Could you imagine though a 6'6 315 player on one end and a 6'6 285 player on the other. That would just be amazing.

Along w/ HUbbard and HIll from this years class...D-Line domination.

Hill is probably a Jack LB unless he grows out of it, although Hubbard could be absolutely sick in a year or two on the DL. Fanning would be the perfect strongside end for us.

Who or what number were we suppose to watch on the video?

Also I didn't realize Quinton Dial was that big/tall.

As far as Lamichael Fanning goes I think with Dial, Hubbard, and himself it will be shades of Eric Curry. All three mentioned were of his size. I believe he was around 6'6" 280, and a beast!!! I really like the direction of the defense and think we will be just fine.:BigA:

Little to none IMHO. Dial could very well end up at the nose.

Also, Hubbard recently said that their bringing him up to be a Jack LB... that may change once he gets in T-Town for reporting day, but right now thats the direction they're going.

I have always loved defensive line play and I think Dial at NT would be pretty amazing as well. As was stated in another thread, Saban wants the best 22 on the field. The "problem" at Alabama is determining who the best 22 are, and I must say it is a wonderful problem to have.
