LANK would have been a great story if it came with a national title.I for one really hope that LANK graduates and moves on after this year
Judging by the video, according to the Bama administration, it’s here for a while with other sports coming on board.I for one really hope that LANK graduates and moves on after this year
I agree - very much dislike it. I don't think it will go away immediately, but would love for it to fade out or evolve into a different term/name.I for one really hope that LANK graduates and moves on after this year
LosersI thought the whole thing was mildly amusing during it's early stages just because of how vocal some were that hated the acronym.
Turn out though the whole thing loses whatever cachet it might have had when it doesn't lead to a NC.
I mean the whole thing isn't even an underdog 'Rocky' story that proves doubters wrong because at least Rocky made the Final Fight and went the distance.
LANK got KO'd in the undercard.
I just want it to GO AWAY and everyone else associated with it's creation.
I look at it like I looked at Moneyball. Better story if you actually won something. The name in and of itself doesn't flow, so from the get-go, the idea of it as a "thing" was lame. Then when they didn't let the "naysayers know" it was time to bury the lame acronym. But here we are with a documentary on a failed acronym...
I don't think it is a waste if part of the goal is to make money. The name on merchandise makes money, and the players are compensated for it. It just falls into the category of "not my flavor of ice cream" and I won't ever buy one piece of merchandise with "LANK" on it. But if others want to, then go ahead. What a waste of time and energy.
