LANK:The Documentary

That's a cool video, I love the interviews and the behind the scene footage. Do you guys remember when ESPN did the before season special on Alabama's preseason training? That was so cool. These behind the scene photography just fascinates me.

In regards to the LANK terminology though I can't help but feel like the kids got one over on everyone by saying naysayers. :cautious:

I thought the whole thing was mildly amusing during it's early stages just because of how vocal some were that hated the acronym.

Turn out though the whole thing loses whatever cachet it might have had when it doesn't lead to a NC.

I mean the whole thing isn't even an underdog 'Rocky' story that proves doubters wrong because at least Rocky made the Final Fight and went the distance.

LANK got KO'd in the undercard.

I just want it to GO AWAY and everyone else associated with it's creation.

Well, even though they did not win the national championship, they did kind of let the naysayers know when they beat Georgia in the SEC championship game. A lot of us were naysayers after that last second Auburn win. With the way our team looked for most of the year last season, it was a miracle we won the sec championship and even made it to the playoffs.

The name in and of itself doesn't flow, so from the get-go, the idea of it as a "thing" was lame. Then when they didn't let the "naysayers know" it was time to bury the lame acronym. But here we are with a documentary on a failed acronym...
I look at it like I looked at Moneyball. Better story if you actually won something.

What a waste of time and energy.

I don't think it is a waste if part of the goal is to make money. The name on merchandise makes money, and the players are compensated for it. It just falls into the category of "not my flavor of ice cream" and I won't ever buy one piece of merchandise with "LANK" on it. But if others want to, then go ahead.
