LB/DE Denzel Devall Updates

I retract my last staement regarding Lambert. The staff must feel really good about Devall. Both players pretty close to what they could bring to the program. I just that Lambert is no longer visiting this coming weekend instead going to Rutgets. I take that as we are done at LB based on who is commited and who we think will.

Just last week I read an article stating UA look to be in great shape with Lambert. I can only assume we are passing on him at this point.

I have no doubt we'd take Jenkins, but would we take them both, especially with Ryan anderson already in this class? or would Devall be a back up to Jenkins, since general consensus is we lead with Jenkins.
Both Jenkins is a jack and devall being like Hightower and playing all the positions. What alfy hill would have been had the NCAA not screwed him over

I just cannot see us turning down Jenkins. He's just far too great of a raw player at such a crucial position for this defense for us to turn him away. If we have to shuffle things elsewhere to find a spot for him, I tend to think we will.

Moving on, this one may shock some, but I think the one on the outside here could easily be Kwon Alexander. It's hard to see us letting him go considering he'd just go right to Auburn, but I think that knee injury really hurt him a lot more than most expect. He was an undersized guy all along who relied on his speed to stand out above the rest, and a major knee injury really calls into question his ability moving forward. He's going to have to recover from the knee injury, add 20-30 more pounds of muscle, and then get more physical at the point of attack before he would legitimately have a role on this defense. On the other hand, he'd probably start at Auburn next year given their lack of depth and their penchant for undersized 'backers.

The fact that Kwon is an in-state kid might mean we make a spot for him somewhere, but based on raw ability I think he's extremely borderline right now. I'd put him behind both Jenkins and Devall.

I agree, I don't see Kwon Alexander squeezing into this class.
