LB Kwon Alexander Updates

Re: Where was Kwon Alexander's unofficial visit to this weekend?

Judging from the direction this thread has taken, I presume there is nothing new to speak of regarding Kwon's recruitment.

Re: Where was Kwon Alexander's unofficial visit to this weekend?

Heck there is a chance that no team in the SECCG this year is better than 10-2 going in.

Yea but that is SAYING SOMETHING in the SEC. Not so much in the weak ACC. With the talent they have, they should be going in at 12-0 considering I dont think they play VT in the regular season. A 10-2 team in the SEC is MUCH DIFFERENT than a 10-2 team in the ACC, wouldnt you agree?

I'm not so sure about that. VT is good for one or so bad games a year and they may save their "bad game" for the ACC CG. I guess I like FSU more than most.

Last year was F$U's best chance to beat VT and they gave up 44 points. The same will happen this year with even a weaker offense for F$U. I seriously doubt Manuel "all of a sudden" plays like a Heisman candidate.

You are also talking about the same FSU team that beat a USC team that ran all over UA. Again FSU has to get by OU but if they come to play they have the talent.

They always have had talent. But year after year they still lose 1-2 games they SHOULDNT. Thats my point. I dont care who they beat and who that team beat, fact is F$U lost quite a few games last year they shouldnt have. Does UNC and NC State ring a bell? They should have won BOTH games. They will lose to OU and choke ATLEAST another game before the ACC title game in which they'll lose to VT.

good lord, can you people ever stay on topic for the entirety of one single thread?? I mean, I know you can voice your opinions whenever and however you please, but to consistently go off on a completely different tangent is becoming quite the nuisance. There's nothing more annoying in a forum than trying to scan through people's ramblings on a post that has nothing to do with the thread title. If you have nothing to say towards the topic, and in this case, Kwon's recruitment, then please refrain from going all haywire on your keyboard.

Agreed...just wasted 5 minutes of time looking for an update.

Just a lot of message board rumors right now about a torn ACL, but nothing definite. If it's legit, though, we'll get confirmation shortly.

Last I heard was on Saturday when the report was he had injured his knee and before the extent was known he would have to see a doctor. I have heard nothing since then. I like others are waiting on a diagnosis and prognosis. Hopefully it is not a a torn ACL or anything serious.

I saw on Twitter (gasp), by a reputable Bama reporter that he is out for the season with a torn ACL. I can't read the article on my phone but I'm guessing that is says the same thing. Here's to a speedy recovery for Kwon!

I guess you should look on the bright side is better now than later on in the season . He will have time to heal and be ready for fall camp. I know it won't make him feel better but it is what it is. Get well Kwon.

I saw on Birmingham TV sports it was a torn LCL and out for season. Good luck for a speedy recovery.

I'm not sure if he really has a torn ACL, there seems to be a lot of conflicting discussion on that. If it's just a torn LCL then it's probably no major concern moving forward.

Having said that, if he really did tear the ACL, I'm afraid this one could have a big impact on him. He's a guy who earns his keep with his raw speed and athleticism, and if it takes him a couple of years to get back to the level he is at now, that's really going to hinder his development. People like to assume these major knee injuries are just a thing of the past in terms of a big negative impact on players, but that's really not the case if you look more closely. If he has a lot of serious damage, this could impact the way he plays the game in a fundamental manner.

Best of luck to the kid either way. I'm sure we'll keep on recruiting him, as will everyone else, so he'll still have a full-ride intact. Having said that, though, he ought to be glad that he's as heavily recruited as he is, because a lot of more borderline prospects would just get dropped from the radar screen altogether with an injury like this. And that's a big reason we've seen the surge of early commitments in recent years.
