Very close to a few of the coaches of the Alabama Allstar staff. They were quoted as saying, "I have never seen a kid like that at the high school level", "he is the most physical player I have ever seen in high school", and "He was a man amongst boys out there". The consensus was that he reminded the coaches of a longer and bigger Cornelius Bennett. From a pure football aspect, this kid is head and shoulders above any other high school linebacker in the state, possibly the South or country. I'm not sure how much baggage he has or what type of off the field issues he may bring, but during the week of the Alabama Mississippi Allstar game, "he was very motivated to play and showed up to practice wanting to hurt somebody every day". He plays with a mean streak and is super aggressive. Anyone who thinks this kid would not play until his Junior year is delusional. He is that good.

And that's exactly what I see, and I'm sure CNS sees the same. The kid has motivation and he can play. I just believe he's misguided.

I trust Coach if he wants him but I guess it's a longshot what with all the factors and influences surrounding him at this point. If Trooper has messed him up enough that we don't get him then maybe he'll at least be out of conference like Miami. Hopefully Trooper doesn't muddy his water so much that the kid has major eligibility issues from ineligible benefits that he doesn't even get to play.

I want Foster to go to Alabama or Miami (non-contender out of conference). It's as simple as that.

I can see why some would prefer the latter option, but Foster had a lot of external influences. He was committed to Alabama, and there was a lot between then and now.

If he comes to Alabama, it's highly likely that things will come together and he could not only play for championships but it is likely that he end up a first round pick. Auburn? We know how they've squandered talent. Miami? Well, he might still get drafted but championships? They might have trouble fielding a team soon. Georgia? How is that in any way better than Auburn?

Honestly, I think Foster's choice will tell us what we need to know about him. If, after all of this he comes to Alabama then we have reason to believe he's matured and has his head on straight. You have to believe that the staff would do due diligence as well.

Re: New Recruiting Tactic: Babysitter Needed

@%%1;
I'm not going to say what I'm thinking, but I hope this turns out the way it's looking right now.

We don't need character issues on campus.

The best players will play no matter what. The Best player is the one who takes care of the small things, does well in his studies as a student first, than becomes a student of the game, and takes on a leadership role. The kids who have come into Saban's program who have let the character issues get the best of them, have quietly found themselves out the door.

If Foster wants to come in, work hard, and fight for a spot on the field. Than damn it, the talent is certainly there. I don't think he will have a problem once he gets onto campus, erm- IF he makes it onto campus.

Im really hoping we win this kid over! He will help us win more championships, fo sho. However, if he decides its in his best interest to follow trooper Taylor or whatever he wants to do, I get the feeling foster will not reach his true potential in the college game, wind up making a few mistakes on the way through his collegiate career and could end up a third or fourth rounder by his jr year, costing him potential millions. Or worse, as we have seen with a number of high caliber recruits who opted to sign elsewhere, and whom were also lacking an upstanding attitude, he could wind up getting caught in a never ending transfer cycle, d-II school, or worse, jail. (That escalated quickly)

I agree with some of those comments. He was covering kick-offs in the all-star game and he was the first one down and on one coverage he was a missle and just missed the MS player. If he would have hit him the kid would have been carried off. While I don't like some of his antics I would take him in a heartbeat. He is going to be a great player for somebody.

Wonder if he got some of the Auburn mentality. The one that involves highly touted players to get to Lee County and not play motivated football.

Can we get the tattoo off if he comes to Bama or can it be covered with an elephant?

From what I understand it's as much in memory of his dead relative as anything else. That stays and in that context I'd just leave it at that. Family is family.
