no. OU vs LSU… you know how OU backEd into a championship game after getting the doors blown off of them in the Big XII title game, and stayed ahead of USC and LSU for a reason that makes absolutely no sense whatsoever.

2004 was USC vs whoever. It really came down to Citadel vs Bowling Green more than anything else. But even that… Auburn had a far tougher schedule overall but the SEC perception was weak at the time. But whatever. It was less of a controversy than many other BCS years.

The difference between 2003 and 2004 is confusing because actual championship is played in different calendar year.
