Really hope answers are found for OL and defense. I know Coach Saban has this just so not use to seeing qb getting hit this much since Brodie Croyle ..you know I keep looking to see if Chris Capps somehow back on team.

If Bill Obrien leaves how about Jason Garrett he is available seems like a good fit for coach rehab program.
IMO, that would be a double dose of everything we don’t like about the offense under O’Brien.

If I had one wish for the remainder of Coach Saban’s career, it would be no more NFL retreads.

Sorry but it is not near as bad as the Capps/Croyle era. I think with Geroge at RT we are better than we were and we have a lot of young ones being groomed that will be very good players next year.

He's not the QB whisperer people have made him out to be. - he'd try to turn BY into a true dual threat QB and get him killed.
If we truly want the QB whisperer responsible for Dak we’d try to get Kellen Moore. These last two seasons he’s responsible for the turnaround there in Dallas. Probably won’t be there as a coordinator next year.

As a side note, Jason Garrett is now unemployed. Potential NFL retread to look out for.

Just suppose Golding, O'Brien and Marrone are elsewhere next year.

Honest question, because as frustrated as I've been with the 2021 team, I don't know the answer: Who would realistically come to be Alabama's DC, OC, or OL coach, respectively, and represent a clear upgrade from what we have now?

I see nobody on Florida's, LSU's or USCw's staff worth having. I like tOSU's offense, but no way their OC leaves to come here. Lane Kiffin is really OM's OC, and he's not coming except maybe as HC when Saban hangs it up (and that assumes he's outgrown his off-field proclivities). I'd take Sark back in half an instant, but I don't really think UTw will fire him after only one year. Cincinnati's OL has been pretty stout, acknowledging it's against inferior competition, so maybe there for an OL coach....maybe? Lake is out at UDub, and had some pretty good defenses there, albeit in the Pac-12, prior to becoming example #405987 of the Peter Principle.

There's some talk that Brian Kelly might have done all he can do at Notre Dame, and might be willing to consider one of the prominent openings. So maybe somebody on the ND staff?

The bottom line is: I see our problems, and I'm as frustrated as anybody. But I'm failing my own test of being able to propose a solution.

I'd be most appreciative of specific names. "Anybody would be better than [insert name]" (1) isn't right, and (2) doesn't qualify as a name.
Vlachos has been batted around. He had a mean streak. I do like the idea of a homegrown coach, and Saban reached when he hired Golding.

Actually he is the OC for the NY Giants. Unless he was fired after last night's game against Tampa Bay.

Both Sark and Lane are NFL headcoaches. It really depends on the person.

If BoB leaves then one name you will undoubtedly see again is Adam Gase. He is among the Saban coaching tree but so was Jason Garrett. However Gase was a recruiting coordinator at LSU for Saban and was a long time GA under him at MSU.

Personally I would be calling guys like Helfrich before going the NFL route again (even though Daboll was better than what I thought). But again I have 7 fewer national championship rings than CNS so….

They just fired him.
His brother John was fired, too.

Rough day for the Garret coaches...
