We finally got a break. LSU intentionally walked Reeves to load the bases in the bottom of the second. Austen Smith then launched the first pitch on his at bat over the left field wall for a grand slam.

I was at the game Friday night, and there is not a more deserving team. One of our fans sitting behind me remarked to an LSU fan that they were going to buy season tickets next year, and the LSU fan said "Why, the team is terrible". The Bama fan replied, "Let's take a look at the team records"
 
Going to the top of the 8th, Bama continues to roll. Jonathan Smart still on the mound. He has allowed only 6 hits, and has a low pitch count. They thought he had thrown 83 pitches at the start of the 7th. He has managed to get 2 outs in the 8th with only 4 pitches.

Smart has been better than smart, he has been simply brilliant....bottom 8 now still 9-0.
 
Just got home from visiting my mom and mother-in-law, what a nice surprise to find the Tide up 9-0.
 
Georgia scored 9 in the 9th to beat the barn 14-11 and deny them a share of 1st.
