Just heard on a station hear in Atlanta that cbs has picked up the bama-lsu game on Nov 12th. The game is 3:30est and 2:30 cst time. Espn has picked up Auburn and Ga. Roll TIDE!!!

2:30 games

Man, I hate them. I mean, good for TV time and all that, but give me a freakin' break. I know myself and all the band people LOVE a night game. We've only had one or two. Come back, come back, back to the evening.(jimmy buffett reference, "Jamaica Mistaka")

I like the atmosphere of the night games better but hey, look at the bright side. The temperature should be nicer, and after our game we can watch UGA beat the Barn! ;)

We seem to play well at 2:30. We also play well at night. The morning (11AM) kickoffs are the worst!

I love seeing the games on CBS in HD. If you guys haven't seen an HD broadcast yet. . . you gotta make plans! We should get the next three games in glorious HD. :eek2:

I've not seen Bama on HD because I'm always at the games. So...should I start selling my tix so that I can "make plans"? Is it that good? I mean...better than being there?

Unless your actually on the field, I'd sell your tickets. HD is that good. Plus, you don't have to worry about the traffic after the game.

If someone offered me about $2K each, I'd probably sell my tickets. Otherwise, I think I'd much rather be there, traffic notwithstanding. I've not seen a Bama game on HD so I'm not missing anything. I think we'll be rocking in BDS for a good while after the clock shows 00:00!

HD is not as good as being there, but football in widescreen is a new and altogether different experience than conventional TV. Just awesome. I've loved watching Bama in HD so much this year.

But no... the atmosphere in my media room can't beat what transpired on Oct. 1 in BDS. :)

Add to that the ill-informed CBS commentary (although I usually have so much company for HD games that we can't actually hear the TV) and being there is definitely better.

NOTHING can take the place of being there..........especially when the band begins to "wind up" & 70,000+ are singing RJYH!

I like the 2:30 kickoff. Just enough time for pre-game tailgating, a ROLL TIDE victory, and then you get to see the 'Dawgs put an end to the BARN's chances of winning the WEST. What more could you ask for?

Don't have to worry about traffic after the game, anyway. Just go back to the tailgate on the Quad and watch the night game until it is over a bit after 10:00. Then, we break down the tailgate, load up, and take off. I'll admit I've never watched a game on HD. Don't have an HD TV, receiver, etc.; however, I can't imagine anything holding a candle to being in the stadium.
