Just checked out Illinois-Northwestern on ESPNU. They're playing it at Wrigley Field in Chicago - the first time a college game has been played there since 1938 or some such. On one side of the field, the bleachers are about 40 yards away. Because of a wall just inches away from one of the end zones, all offensive possessions take place toward the same goal.
Observation - the ivy on the outfield wall is dead.
Later tonight - Army-Notre Dame from Yankee Stadium.
Not sure what this move is toward games in baseball stadiums where sight lines are terrible in stadiums that were built for another sport???
