And I don't know anything about Longo, but have kept up with Maye since he was a former commit. But that would make a lot of sense in OCing Bama with Maye might land him a better HC opportunity a couple year's down the pike. I figure that's the way it'll work for the next OC anyway so it might be a win/win for Maye and Longo to come as a package deal.

Downside to having Longo is that we could get him for 1 year... If he does well at Bama...

The questions rolling around in my head are why would a potential No. 1 draft choice QB consider Bama given the performance of the OC and QB coach?
Do we think that Bryce and his parents would have made the same decision if they had known how awfully outdated Sark's replacement would be?
Do we not see an issue with having a Five Star QB on the bench and being hot and bothered to bring in another one to play in his place? Isn't this an example of what most of us see as the ultimate demise of college football i.e. buying free agents?
Bama had 3-4 games where there were ample opportunities to give meaningful reps to back up QB's and another year is over without anyone knowing how Simpson would play in real game situations. One would suspect Simpson was developed in the same way the offense was developed over the last two years! IOW not at all!

Legit concerns.

Bryce did win the Heisman in 2021 though. It had a lot more to do with him and Metchie and JM than BOB, but it did happen.

If TS hasn't developed, it might be better for him to sit another year if Longo can help him.

An issue he’s running into is his supporting cast isn’t capable of keeping up with Clemson. Clemson’s main problem all year has been at QB and they seemed to solve that last night. They have way more sheer talent than UNC and that’s not changing.
I can name multiple really good QB’s that couldn’t get it done against teams with a clearly better roster.
