Manziel Sent Home from Manning Camp

He wants to do 20-year-old college things while not having the attention or stress. He says he has seen a few counselors about the stress. Someone needs to help him realize he can't have both sides of it.

I'm sorry but I don't really think he knows what real stress is.

Yeah, I guess working to get better is beneath him...I hope the rest of A&M players have that attitude. Someone needs to remind him (after our game obviously) of the saying: It's not the will to win, it's the will to prepare to win"...

He shouldn't worry about why AJ didn't wake him up. There are more than a few Bama players itching to issue this tool a wake-up call, come September.
 
I can't wait to hear A. J.'s response to questions tomorrow about why he did not wake up his roommate.

Jamie, that was my point that it wasn't AJ's concern. I just didn't multi-quote the complete post referenced.
 
Who SLEEPS through the Manning Football Camp? That is an opportunity of a lifetime. Not only do you set the alarm clock next to the bed, but you set your phone alarm and ask the front desk for a wake up call.

NO EXCUSES, Johnny Football!!
 
I don't recall other Heisman winners having these pesky off-the-field "issues aka spoiled brat" that JM seems to have. Griffith, Ingram, Tebow even Newton managed to stay out of trouble during their seasons, and after winning. Newton had the whole NCAA thing following him as well, but I'd say both Tebow and Newton endured pretty intense media scrutiny that was at least equal to if not greater than what JM has had.
As for the age thing, I'm pretty sure Tebow and Ingram were the same age as JM when they won it, and Newton was around 21 so, the whole "I'm 20 excuse" just doesn't fly...jmo
 
I wasn't hung over. I just overslept. Never mind why I didn't have the courtesy to call. I'm just a kid, so it's not my fault. But no, I can't tell you if I had any alcohol. Again, I'm a kid...wait...never mind about that kid /under age thing. Erase that from what I said...or didn't say. I'm not sure any more.

Besides, it would have been all different if AJ, my babysitter, wet nurse, and diaper changer had just woken me up. See, he got up, took a shower, got dressed, and ever-so-quietly closed the door without disturbing my definitely not drunk slumber. So it's really AJ's fault.

Remember, I'm a kid. So don't think I'm responsible, or a leader or a representative of my school or anything like that. Unless, of course, you have sideline passes to the playoffs or can get me into a casino. In that case, I'm the quarterback, and I have this really cool trophy, and I deserve to have fun this summer.

But don't call my cell...it dies a lot. Remember, I'm just a kid and can't always remember that re-charging thing, especially when I'm not drunk.
