Manziel Sent Home from Manning Camp

By its nature, quick, short, grammar and spelling mistakes are par for the course. The writer is reaching - a long way...

It's so easy to criticize a college football player for a grammar mistake made in a post on a medium which is meant for the immediate broadcast of unstructured statements of 140 characters or less when your stories go through an editor specifically for the purpose of correcting such mistakes before being published.

I'd love to see some of this elitist, jock-sniffing harridan's articles before they were touched by those charged with going over them with a fine-toothed comb to make sure that she doesn't appear to be "illiterate". I'm sure that they have been responsible for correcting her misspellings of "talent", "couth", and "morality". These are terms with which she appears to be unacquainted.

I'm just glad Manziel is Texas A&M's problem and not Alabama's (except for about 3 hours on Sept 14). It has gotten so that the meager football news we can usually get in July is all being used up on some ugly, spoiled, rich punk out spending daddy's money and making a general fool of himself.

I don't really care how he conducts himself off the field, that's an aggie issue. On the field, he trails AJ McCarron in BCS Championships by a count of 0-2. He trails in SEC Championships by a count of 0-1. He led his team to the same number of losses (2) in one season as AJ has in two seasons.

He's a punk but the aggies will love him because the team will likely do well this season (and because they're aggies). I hope Bama hangs a hundred on them. I didn't like aTm when I lived in Texas, didn't like them when they were gloating about stealing franchione, and I like them even less now.

Dude is enjoying his youth, no question. And some stuff I don't even care about.

But you have to be some kind if immature and stupid to do this at the Manning camp.

My Take On Johnny Football

I was really impressed with this guy (of whom I had never heard), when I saw what he did in our game. Each subsequent news article has lessened how I feel about the guy. I never wish ill to any collegiate amateur, but I'd really like to see this guy's a..ho.. kinda look like a turtle-neck after our game with them this year.:BigA::BigA:

Re: My Take On Johnny Football

Manziel has become the college football counterpart to Justin Bieber. This whole "crazy as I want to be because I'm special" act is going to land him in some situation down the road that will derail his career.

The aTm game against La Tech is on ESPN-U. I had no idea the aTm players were so undisciplined: Dirty hits, face masks, trash talking, etc., all game long.

Maybe it's sour grapes on my part, but I find that behavior really disgusting.

Looks like CBS and AL.com are now wanting in the action...

Personally, this article sounds more like Manziel damage control similar to what we heard at SEC Media Days. Honestly the only person who really knows what went down was AJ and he aint talking. For whatever reason, the media spin seems to take up for these guys similar to the way they did for Teo. Why? I dont get it the trainwreck is always more interesting to watch.

I am sure if the Manziels could have fashion a legitimate alibi for Johnny they would have done it by now. The fact that after all this media coverage all we have is unnamed sources just further suggests that little Johnny was up to no good. The fact that he didnt show up until around noon on Saturday suggest more than a hangover that he couldnt be awakened. Somebody would have went at 7am, 8am, 9am, etc to try and wake him up. He was a no-show because he went out of town to party and stayed to late or got too drunk to drive back to Thibodaux. So yeah I am betting he was in NOLA.

I wonder if TXAM will ask little Johnny to pee in a cup when camp starts?
