what does it mean when we hear over and over again that "coaches still recruited him hard even though he committed early" to so and so school? I mean, do they recruit soft all other times and turn it on when they feel a young man is going elsewhere? What does the term mean? do they call more, visit more, someone enlighten me. I heard this alot regarding Manson. I assumed he was firm on his commitment to Zook, and 'Bama coaches tried to persuade him up until signing day? I heard that during his visit to Tuscaloosa, he refused to wear his name tag-"HELLO" my name is.., some saw that as an act of defiance. Hey if you don't want to be here....

On MM I had felt all along he had little interest in UA for whatever reasons(I will not go there).However,on these cases of coaches recruiting(committed) players.All verbal commits are none binding until signing day...therefore these players are fair game,and as we have seen some verbal commits are more solid than others.I guess society has a more liberal definition of commitment now than in the past,but I regress,back to coaches that continue recruiting players. I think if a coach feels this player is even potentially interested in his school,then he would stay after a kid just in case.Also,as in McClure (barn vs FSU) this kid wanted an offer from FSU all along and when he was offered he decommitted to the barn.(I suppose that was a poor example bc it seemed a no brainer to me)I hope this helps.
