The best part of having so many guys out was that Bethea got lots of minutes and looked extremely good. Remember, this guy was the #5 overall recruit in the 2024 class. He won the slam dunk contest at the McDonalds All-American game. He is a plus athlete that can shoot. If he plays to his potential the ceiling of this team goes way up.

What I really like is that we can go very small: Philon, Aden, Bethea, Wrightsell and Allen or Bol Bowen

Or we can go big: Philon, Allen, Bol Bowen, Bristow and Sherrell. (Sp?)

There fact this team looked this good playing 3 freshman and missing two starters and awesome. Bethea looked really good and exciting. Allen and Jemison are ballers. Team has ton of potential for sure.

Every time I watch Williamson he just sticks out as a sore thumb. I’m guessing his PT is coming to a close. I hope whatever is wrong with Onyejiaka isn’t bad, him being out is only reason I can see Williamson playing.

Edit- just saw it is an irregular heartbeat for him and that’s why he’s out.

Bethea is what we thought he'd be now that he is healthy.

Knew he had the size/hops, but that 3 point shot is smooth!!!

I think we are seeing why CNO said back in the preseason that this may be his best shooting team.

Jemison has become a surprisingly huge 3-point threat.

Totally agree.

Now ... if we can just develop 3 or 4 really good "board-crashers". Offensive rebound numbers need to go up. Seems like we have more wide-open 3-point opportunities on the kick-outs from offensive rebounds.

Bethea will help with rebounding too. His vertical is amazing at 6'5". And Jemison has been coming on too. And Allen is a rebounding machine! He's got the "want to" you need!

It'll help when we get Bristow back from injury, too! He and Jemison have been very pleasant surprises!

We really need Bol Bowen and Sherrell to start acting like they are almost 7-footers and get after it on the boards!

I agree with an earlier post that suggested Sherrell needs to be more aggressive!

I'd like to see him go to the basket with a two-hand dunk in mind with the mentality that if someone tries to block it, they'll get a broken hand as he slams it into the rim INSTEAD of his double clutch, soft shots!!!
