Bama Game Thread: MBB Bama vs Vols - 3.1 3p CT - ESPN

Worst 30 sec in the history of Bama basketball. Lot of hard work evaporated on 5 sec. We don’t play well as a 1 seed so ok if we’re not. Beat UF and lose to Auburn and we are the top 2 seed.

Poor decisions, and poor play calls cost the win...the ball was in the wrong hands at crunch time. Not sure why #11 didnt step to the ball at the end and contest vs sitting inside the 3pt line....

I promise you I turned the game on with Bama ready to inbound for the final shot. I had avoided the entire game but thought "what's the harm now?"

I'm a curse to this team.

On the replay, Grant - who was guarding Meshack - was shoved sideways, which allowed the open shot. Refs of course weren’t going to call that but they loved calling the quick 5 sec call.

That to me was a big puzzle. Usually, CNO punishes an error in judgment like that ill-advised drive. Then, when I saw the ball in Philon's hands, I just thought "Oh no!"

I hope we get them again in the SEC tournament or NCAA tournament. We were the better team today, just couldn't hit our free throws. We'll beat them if we play again.

I really feel like Oats slept walked through the end of that game. How can you have Stephenson on inside position for rebounding a massive missed free throw. He’s too weak and slow. Where’s Diaboute or Omouri? And to not have your kid coached up to call a timeout if you have trouble on the inbounds with two timeouts left!

Played a 1 seed on their hostile home court, with a very favorable officiating crew (I think I read Dailey has now officiated 4 of our 6 losses), and lost on a last second shot. Team has to feel pretty good for NCAAT. Impressive Zeigler didn’t foul in the last 36 min.

This, you know you have time outs left but don't call one, you always count in your head and at 3 1/2 you call time out

To be fair, we didn’t catch a break having our only games vs Mizzou and UT on the road.
