Coastal threatens with tying run at the plate but a nicely turned double play by LSU brings an end to the game and the Tiger's 8th baseball national championship back to Red Stick.

I will also say it's hard not to appreciate what LSU did this year. Only 12 players returning they ended up with dominant pitching, a masterclass defense, and could pretty much hit when it mattered the most.

Credit where due.

I also think they have a VERY good head coach!

LSU and Arky were the two best teams in the finals. It’s a shame they were on the same side of the bracket. And LSU didn’t really deserve that last win against them. But they certainly took care of Coastal once their coaches got tossed.

The sooner they get rid of the home plate umpire, the better.

There’s too much money riding on sports for it to be called from an objective official though.
