I was at the Barons game Friday night and noticed Tyler Watts and his family was sitting in the next section over from us. Since I had never had the opportunity to meet him, I couldn't leave without at least giving him a hearty Roll Tide. Let me tell you, Tyler is a class act in my book. He wasn't one of these that were in a rush to get rid of some stranger looking for an autograph etc. Anyways, Tyler was more than happy to have a picture taken with me, and I thought it was pretty cute that his daughter popped into the picture at the last second...Anyways just thought I would share this with all my fellow TideFans here.

ROLL TIDE!!

Tyler was one of the toughest quarterbacks I have ever seen play for the tide. If I remember right, he almost never avoided contact. Didnt he even play seriously injured one year?

Tyler always seemed to be a hard working, tough-nosed player who represented the U of A very well.

Nice story, there, PT.

Known him for a long time. He is a first class person and played his heart out for the Tide the whole time he was at the University.

One of my all-time favorite Tide players!

remembered the first time he step in as a QB for Bama in the 1999 Orange Bowl vs. Michigan. even then you knew he had moxie.

IMHO, his best game ever was against South Carolina when he almost
singlehandedly defeated them. he threw for 200 yards in the air and rush for 200 yards on the ground:eek2:

I always admired how tough he was.
He had an uncanny knack for finding the first down marker while scrambling. If Bama needed 7, he would run for eight. If they needed ten, he would run for eleven.
Very tough player.

I agree, he was a very tough QB. His style fit fRan's Offense perfectly when he arrived, but I think he did get injured that season and Zow played relief.
