Miss State Defense ???

UAB had touchdown passes of 88, 81, and 75 yards. State's coverage wasn't great. Seemed bland, so UAB WRs got open.

That's a very telling stat line. Big explosive plays like that for us would be deadly for them. Can you imagine the crowd noise? Plus, that's what we need to do against MSU - score points. At least 24-27+ to be safe, IMO.
 
I understand what one team does has no effect on what we will do to that team. However, If UAB can run up 548 yards on you at home your defense is not that strong. Miss State wants to put the ball in Blake's hands to win or lose. They do not want to double our wr's and allow us to run and control the clock. They want Dak on the field and not standing on the sidelines watching Bama run at 5 and 6 yards a clip. Blake needs a good safe game with 65% or so completions and limit turnovers.

Anyway, we don't have to depend on anyone else and that is the best position to be in.
