When its a bama player "hate to hear that. hope that young man gets his life together"
When its a barn player "lol those thugs just keep getting in trouble"
For, the most part I don't keep track of what's going on with their players. Of course, the armed bandits and the shotting a couple of weeks were the exception. This guy has a quite a rap sheet.Lets recap the trouble Pike has caused or been in since he committed to The Barn..
1 - He became a cult hero of auburn fans by trashing all things Bama on Twitter(never heard of that happening before)..
2 - He gets gets ejected from a 7 on 7 Tourney for throwing the ball at a ref..
3 - And now he gets arrested for PI..
So auburn fans keep telling yourselves he's "just a kid being a kid"..I don't think he'll ever play a down of SEC Football..He'll either quit or transfer cause the coaches won't hand him the starting job..Typical Barner player & attitude..
The best comment on al.com came from a Barner who said "He's made a lot of bad decisions the past year".This was a Bunker comment by an AU fan: "The biggest surprise here is that this made the papers, usually it disappears before then..."
He was suspended his final game at Dixie Heights High School in Edgewood, Ky., for an undisclosed reason.
Im being pretty sarcastic, but its not far from the truth of how things go. If this type of thing happens to one of our own, we are sympathetic. If it happens to them, different story. Yes, right now we are doing well in the discipline department....but I remember not too long ago when we werent.
Not sure if you're the overly PC type or you really think the two schools are even remotely comparable over the last few years...
But either way, your post is sad.
I think you're time shifting here. Are you comparing the behavior of players under Saban with players under Cheese Nip? Or are you comparing players schooled under Shula with players under Cheese Nip? Yes, we've had our share of bad coaches, but I think the point here is that Auburn has a bad coaching situation while Alabama has an a very good one.Im being pretty sarcastic, but its not far from the truth of how things go. I'm not shifting on anything. I'm not talking about coaching or wins and losses. This thread is about Pike getting in trouble. My 2 posts were general observations about how many fans react depending on which team is guilty.I think you're time shifting here. I agree 100%, but you left out a telling thing...he was suspended for his last game -- a playoff game at that.Lets recap the trouble Pike has caused or been in since he committed to The Barn..

I want to say that "undisclosed reason" was smoking marijuana in the team locker room. Or was that someone else?Past performance predicts future behavior.
I think as Tideman009 pointed out, you can throw the general observation out the window on this one. No one should be surprised he's in trouble down there already. He's got a proven track record of being an idiot and I doubt this will be the last time we hear the words Zeke Pike and arrested in the same sentence.I'm not shifting on anything.
