Well we are discussing most painful loses, what about the most exciting wins you've experienced:

Mine: 1999 Florida in the Swamp, 1992 Miami to win the NC and 1996?? Auburn, the year we won by one point, and 2002 Tennessee to snap that ungodly streak they wrongfully had against us.

1999 Swamp gayder game.My wife(Gayder Alum) bet me something good and well.....I had a cuz who was a student there and he couldn't tell me enough times they were gonna get us.
I got my name "BAMMAR" then.

I know it probably sounds crazy; but I still relish the win over MSU in '99 that sent us back to the SEC Championship Game.

The game itself was pretty exciting. I still say that the stadium rocked harder that evening than at any other time I've been there (all home games since '99). And after what the team and we fans had gone through that entire season (and preseason), it was pretty doggone exciting and satisfying.

Coach Bryant's last game in Memphis was pretty exciting to me because I knew that I was watching history in person as it was his last game and last win.

'92 Sugar Bowl was obviously one of the most exciting as were the two wins over FL in '99 and the win over UT in '02 to break their streak.

In the book "Rammer Jammer Yellowhammer" The 1999 MSU game is described is being very intense and the crowd even more intense. St. John writes in the book that he felt like the crowd won the gama for Bama.

Easy one: 1985 Iron Bowl. When Van Tiffin kicked, 83,000 people held their breaths and then the Alabama side exploded as the kick sailed through. The upper deck thundered and the student section was insane. The entire 4th quarter had been back and forth building up to the final seconds. It was awsome.

Sugar Bowl, Jan 1 , 1979 vs. Penn State.

A tight, defensive, battle. Goal-line stand at the end.

New Orleans is a fun place to before and after celebrate.

#1. The 92 NC Game against those way too confident Hurricanes. That win was sweet because not only was it for the hardware, it was in the greatest city in the world to celebrate in.

#1A. The 98 LSU game at Death Valley. It was probably the greatest comeback I have ever seen Bama pull off. Baton Rouge also ain't bad to celebrate a win in either.

1. 1979 Sugar Bowl
Bama 14 Penn St 7 "The Goal Line Stand"
I was sitting on the 5 yd line, row 6, field level watching the Bama
D line stuff Penn St play after play.

2. 1999 Bama vs Florida
The Swamp
I was sitting in a sea of orange w/my wife (who's a gator) trying
to be as civill as possible while Shaun decimated the Florida D.

1984 Alabama vs. Auburn... Bo goes wrong way... I was 7

1999 - Alabama vs. Auburn... Bama's first win in Jordan-Hareless and Shaun Alexander captures the all-time rushing record.

1999 SEC championship game - Was a blowout, but Bama beat Florida's tail and it was so much fun to watch...

Roll Tide

Easy one

99 msu game....

loudest bds has ever been. Still can hear the echos of "overrated" being chanted as time wound out.

As much as I detest dubose and the bad memories he left us with, that season was fun.

The 1974 Florida State game which we won on a last
second field goal 8-7. In fact it was the first time that I saw the Tide play.

And the 1990 Tennessee game which we won again on a last second field goal.

Two great games.

ya'll have listed several i agree with..........

some i've attended. but, ironically, the most exciting and gratifying for me was the 17-17 tie with the volunquirs in '93! i know it was a tie but there were maybe 10 k of us bama fans still there, rocky top is being played and its gloom and doom til jay and duece worked their magic! i saw hundreds of toothless ones crying! FANTASTIC!!

My favorite Bama games

My favorite has to be the 1960 Tampa game because that was the first Bama game I ever attended with my dad when I was only eight years old. We won 34-6. After that for pure excitement I have to say the 1982 Penn State game at Legion field which we won 42-21. Also, the 1989 Ole Miss game where we spotted the Rebs three TD's and spanked them pretty good 62-27. I believe the score was 48-21 at half. My favorites on tv have to be the 79,80, and 93 Sugar Bowls.
