That is not what it says either. What it says to me is that they pick together and if they choose different teams that is the way it comes down. If they choose the same team, then that team has the choice.

"In selections 6-7, the AutoZone Liberty and Gaylord Hotels Music City Bowls will make their selections, not in any specific order, but in consultation with the SEC Office." That is what it says, and it is what I said. The other part of my statement, as I said, is based on statements from the bowl officials. If the Music City and the Liberty both want MSU first and UK second, and both schools prefer the same bowl, then who picks? That is where the MCB appears to get the preference, though they have to do so in consultation with the SEC office.

whatever the case, in an interview with Scott Ramsey, director of the Music City Bowl, he said that he figures BAMA will be in the Liberty Bowl. Obviously, he can't say who is coming to the MCB since no one has been offered or accepted a bid, but he spent a lot of time talking about what kinds of crowds msu and fsu would bring.

Beale Street does not close at 1am. Many of the clubs are open to 3am and even later on weekends. I've seen clubs close earlier if there isn't a crowd, the weather is bad, or for security reasons, but it is still the party place it always was.
