This is just my honest opinion based on overall record.

SEC East

Florida: 11-1
Georgia: 9-3
S Carolina: 8-4
Kentucky: 7-5
Tennessee: 6-6
Vanderbilt: 2-10

SEC West

Alabama: 11-1
LSU: 10-2
Arkansas: 9-3
Auburn: 8-4
Ole Miss: 7-5
Miss St.: 6-6

SEC Champion

Alabama

I may get flamed for picking a loss for Bama, but the odds of us losing a game are greater than us going undefeated again. But I still feel that a 1 loss Bama will win the SECCG.

That really looks pretty do-able. But I think Rkansas will have a better season than Lswho. Ryan Mallet is not kidding around and he has great hands to throw to. His receivers are not speedy but very good hands.

Les Miles has some weapons but not nearly what he had and I don't beleive that they are going to be consistent enough and he won't get lucky like he did a couple of years ago. Lswho will be dangerous like allbarn becuase they both will be unpredicatble. A lot of people are looking over Florida for being an off year. Florida vs BAMA will be the highlight game of the season and I beleive that we will meet them again in December.

I like your post and I just wanted to add my two cents.

That is the truth if I ever saw it. Three teams fall into the unpredictable category: Auburn, Georgia and LSU, though Georgia has an easy schedule and that should give them at least 8-9 wins. But Aubie and LSU are really hard to figure. Les better get his act together 'cause he has a killer schedule.

1. inexperienced secondary (also short on depth here)
2. completely rebuilt special teams (kicker, punter, returner, snapper)
3. last six SEC opponents get bye week before playing us

These are the reasons that I see us dropping two games this year. I think a 10-2 regular season may be in the cards. Of course, that is also what I predicted last year, so this is really a good thing. I still think 10-2 will get us to the SEC title game, and we will win the SEC again. That would leave us at 11-2 after the SECCG, which will probably leave us out of the national title talk unless it is another season of craziness like when LSU was able to slide into the championship game with two losses.

I've been saying it for the past two years but I think South Carolina grabs the second spot in the west next year. Other than that, your predictions look about like what I was thinking myself.

Hate to be the bearer of bad tidings, but those SEC records are not possible. SEC plays 48 games. Therefore, there are 48 W's and 48 L's. Your totals are 52-44.

i pick fla east winner with two losses, and alabama the winner with one loss. i like south carolina to finish two in the east, and lsu two in the west. i also dont expect tenn to win more than 5 games.

Was not being precise. Just stating a prediction of possible finish. I know there must be 48/48. Mainly stating if a team finished with a conference record that I predicited that this is where I think they will finish within the division.

I'm inclined to agree that we lose a game or two, but for the life of me, I can't say who'll beat us...
Looking at the games individually I don't see anyone beating us. However with the deck stacked against us with the open dates I can see us losing a game. It will come down to injuries and how they will affect our ability to keep players fresh.

I frequent 3 different forums. One LSU, this one, and a fishing site that talks a lot of SEC football. Every year, on every one, somebody...or usually MANY people...claim this is the year that South Carolina steps it up. Every year, South Carolina disappoints. (doesn't disappoint me...I'm not one to ever think of them in terms of "good football") I'm gonna step out on a limb and predict they suck again.

Every year on those same forums, someone says this is the year Arkansas steps it up. Although a better team than South Carolina, I predict Arkansas to wind up between 3rd-5th in the West. They have no defense...and are unlikely to obtain one with their current head coach.

This is just my honest opinion

SEC East

Florida: 11-1 (7-1)
Georgia: 9-3 (6-2)
S Carolina: 8-4 (5-3)
Kentucky: 7-5 (3-5)
Tennessee: 6-6 (3-5)
Vanderbilt: 2-10 (1-7)

SEC West

Alabama: 11-1 (7-1)
LSU: 10-2 (6-2)
Arkansas: 9-3 (5-3)
Auburn: 8-4 (4-4)
Ole Miss: 7-5 (3-5)
Miss St.: 6-6 (2-6).

SEC Champion

Alabama

Only thing I would change is I'd flip AU and Arky. Also, move USCe down to 4th in the East. Neither Arky nor USCe are SEC teams IMO. Otherwise, pretty solid list!

Just leave off the records then and predict an order of finish.

SC is one of 3 teams that are required by the SEC to play six consecutive conference games in six consecutive weeks this year. Yes, they will fade again. When they get to Gainesville, they will be so dead azz tired they will have no chance of beating UF. What will be LSU's excuse? They are at the bottom of that spectrum. They play no more than two consecutive conference games in two consecutive weeks this year. LSU will be UF's fourth consecutive conference game in their five consecutive games/weeks stretch. The other "five conference games in five weeks" team at the top of the spectrum is Bama.

That's not possible. USCe is in the East. :p

I'll agree with some on here that the chances of us losing a game is high, but who is going to beat us?
