My thoughts on Tenn

JessN once again has delivered a great preview on Tenn. I would just like to add my thoughts on the game.

For those who think this game is going to be a blow-out, I disagree.

This game is going to be more of a chess-match than last years game. Coach Sunseri (who knows our schemes well) is now at Tenn and Coach Thompson (who knows Tenn schemes well) is back on staff here, which will provide a unique opportunity for us to see how their strategies play out.

I look for Tenn to operate out of a straight 2-wide, 1 back, and 1 tight end offensive set to force one-on one coverage on their wide outs and I look for them to try to stretch the field early and often.

When Tenn is on defense look for stunts and movement to try and conceal what AJ reads and for Tenn to run all-out blitz's when we are more than 2 wide sets.

Look for Alabama to be Alabama on offense, but with a new offensive co-coordinator on staff we will run plays Coach Sunseri is not familiar with.

Alabama will be Alabama on defense, why change was is already hard to beat. But if Tenn does try to stretch the field early look for Tyler Bray to be lit up.

A couple of things will ultimately win the game for Alabama (other than the obvious talent difference), and they are these:

1. When it comes to chess-matches, I'll take Saban any day.

2. For the first time in a long time the Alabama players are beginning to feel this game is a true rivalry.

3. Beyond chess-matches and back to basics, I look for our running game and especially Eddie Lacy to be the hammer that drives the nail in the coffin for Tenn.

Just my thoughts and Roll Tide!

I agree the running game will be the difference. Their run defense is awful and this will keep their offense on the sideline. I think it will be close for a half as it always is and then we pull away in the 2nd half.

Agreed. I also think that Bray is a gunslinger. When he is on, he's on. I look for him to throw the ball and try our secondary out a LOT to begin with. I'm not worried about this game. I hope we run up the score and never take our foot off the gas!

Bray having a Garcia once-in-a-lifetime game is what concerns me

I cannot share my thoughts on Tennessee. I will get banned and no longer be allowed to post. I got banned from VolNation today because they accused me of trolling. All I did was try to convey my personal opinion that Gruden is not the answer to their problems. They are a sensative bunch. I never used any foul language or even substituted symbols for letters. I had been a member for three years and had less than fifty posts. Until today I had never even posted anything negative about their program. My thoughts on Tennessee...I hope Bama hangs 70 on them and has a shutout on defense.

I'm not seeing this one as close either. I was worried but not now.
CNS spoke with a lot of confidence on his show last night.
This game will be more like the Ole Miss game last year.

Lets see if I'm wrong:

AJ has his best game with 4 touchdowns thru the air

Lacy gets 200 yards & 2 TD's
Yeldon 150 yards 2 TD's

Thats 64 & I don't see UT getting more than 30 rushing yards & Brey throws 3 INT's

RTR

Bama hasn't been tested this year, but they will be tested against UT in Knoxville.

After this weekend, when Bama tees off on an unranked team winless in its conference, with a one dimensional offense, and a struggling defense, Bama still won't have been tested, but they will be tested against LSU in Baton Rouge.

After LSU's solid defense and anemic offense keeps Bama's score under 30 and their own score under 10, Bama still won't have been tested, but they will be tested against Florida in the SEC championship.

After Florida suffers the same fate as Tennessee and LSU, Bama still won't have been tested, but they will be tested against Oregon in the title game.

After Oregon falls, and the Crimson Tide is celebrating its third title in four years, people will start to point out how many starters Alabama will be losing for 2013, and try to figure out a way to rank Notre Dame #1.

Bring them on, and the Meat Pole just gets heavier.

Post of the day! Not to mention, that every team we beat is overrated as well.

My thoughts on Tennessee: **** em.

All the talk from their end this week and rumors likely sourced from their partisans has me just about hating them at Fat Phil era levels.

Come on, if you can't stop a team from moving the LOS 5 yards forward on most plays, you don't win.

Also, people are leaving out the road factor. Saban teams play better on the road. I don't know if they just relax more at home or what. Understandably Saban's intense "MTAQ" style is easier to maintain for 60 minutes in a hostile stadium. This is why I'm extremely glad we play LSU away as well. That and the fact that no LSU fan will call in a bomb threat on their own campus like someone did TAMU's today.
