I thought Houston had a good look at the three until a Florida defender made a fantastic play to take the shot option away right as the Houston player jumped for the shot. Florida defense was tough on that final UH possession. Keeping the score in the 60's was in Houston's favor but Florida can win in multiple ways.

Clayton Jr. became a factor late as well.

This is what seperates Golden from Oats my opinion.

When the chips are down, Florida has the ability to run a half court set, and play actual defense.

Our program is in the best shape in years, but without adjustments going forward I don’t ever see us winning an NC. I hope I’m wrong.

Congrats Florida. I was pulling for Houston.

Florida defense isn’t great but all tournament they locked teams down when they needed. That is what I was hoping we would do as well don’t need elite defense and hold teams down but get some key stops in clutch situations.

Only fitting then that in the last 1:30 of the game......we had four steals and one block!

Incredible way to win the game.....playing the best defense in the country....and turning the tables on them coming down the stretch.

It's tough to win any game, much less a NC game when the other team is allowed to dictate the flow of the game and is able to take away what you do best.

Y'all endured that the first 30 minutes of the game and then finally found a few cracks (with some good adjustments from your HC) and overcame.

I would have preferred to see ya'll score 100, but just glad you had the grit to win an ugly game and send them packing!

UF is the standard SEC program right now...but watch out we are right on your heels!

BTW, @Bazza, thanks for your classy participation in TideFans. You understand the proper way to be a rival-fan poster on another teams board.

I'm having trouble fathoming how this would have gone if AU won it and how their (currently suspended) poster would have handle it. I know it's a different dynamic with him and the barn for obvious reasons, but you are just the epitome of class!
