Watching the replay, you can tell Creighton was just playing above their heads and running on pure adrenaline and mo’ for the first half of that game. It’s not like we were playing badly, but they very much punched us in the mouth.

Problem for them is that Auburn simply tanked that punch and chugged along, only being down two at the half in spite of them making 9 freaking 3s lol.

Even when we were getting outplayed on the defensive end for that stretch you could tell we were relentlessly wearing down their legs. 2nd half rolled around their open looks started to evaporate, and the 3s they did get off simply didn’t have much behind them. They were wore slap out.

Just read an article that Florida has a 7’9” freshman who is redshirting.

Next year might be fun.

yeah he even has his own thread here in the basketball forum from a few months back lol.

Olivier is big but he is VERY much a project and it’ll be a few years before he’ll be an effective SEC player. Being as big as he is presents its own problems. Right now he moves about as effectively as a newborn fawn.

You can’t teach size and all that but at this point he is a novelty at best.

Found it.

He’s a PWO for a reason. Kid needs a ton of work before he’s ready to see the court in any capacity.

Tie ballgame at half. 31 all.

I’d be very concerned if I was Florida about getting dominated on the boards. That’s unusual.

9 turnovers and we look tight.

If we take care of the ball and loosen up a bit I like our chances.

Good game though - props to UConn for playing so well so far!

I've been working on some motorcycle brake caliper rebuilds last night and today. Just finished them and will install after the game. Just have to swap out the bleeders. Trying to keep my mind occupied to help with the nerves!

Personally I think Florida would do well to open it up rather than accept the slog UConn wants. I don’t think UConn could keep up in a wide open game with UF.

100% but maybe the turnovers have affected the ability for us to do that. We'll see. I trust Coach Golden and our staff and of course our guys to do what they have been doing all year. Defense and rebounding.

Weird game. You say they’re getting dominated on the boards, but Florida leads. Bazza worried about the turnovers, but UConn has zero points off the turnovers. It’s got to be the pace like said.

Gators are in a lot of trouble right now. There’s a lot of game left but the opening minutes of the second half are often the most impactful bellwether of things going forward.

need to cinch up hard. Condon and Clayton need to get their heads out of their butts.
