New BCS standings released

FSU isn't gonna lose, barring Winston getting charged. Even if that happened, they'd still be a 21-point favorite.

Maybe we all need to face Tuscaloosa next Saturday and meditate that the planets will be in proper alignment again and that TOSU loses to Michigan State U., and that a miracle of miracles happens when Duke faces FSU.

David Cutcliffe is a Bama man! We've just gotta be pulling for him to work a miracle. Duke vs FSU is equivalent to David vs Goliath. I am willing to give DUKE five good stones and a sling shot!

I will be pulling for MSU and Duke more than I have ever pulled for anyone but Bama and in reality this is pulling for the Tide.

Yesterday was a FLUKE at the Barn. Yes! The BEST team did not win! The luckiest team on the planet won and that luck will run out if we can get a do-over!

Whatever happens with the game in Atlanta will be okay even though I've never pulled for the Barn. However, it would be great to see a rematch in the BCSNCG! Would anyone in the nation watch this game on TV outside the state of Alabama or SEC country?
Just think 80,000+ Alabamians would end up in Pasadena. Birmingham would have it's highest TV ratings ever for football.

Sometimes stuff just happens! Here's hoping good stuff happens this coming weekend!

RTR!!!!!!!

Is that possible?

I'm SURE the Sugar Bowl would LOVE that. UCF has to have them crying. Honestly I'd bet they are glad to see the BCS go. They have really gotten some dudes for their games lately.

Only if both the Orange and the Rose passed on Bama. Not likely.

Very likely the arose passes, the Orange is a little less likely. Though if I was the traveling to a bowl game type I'd probably skip a trip to the Orange Bowl against Clemson. If the OB folks think that mentality will prevail the Sugar may get us. THAT would be a fun one.

You think they'd take a 2 loss Mich. St. team over a possible Bama Vs. Stanford matchup? I don't know, pretty good historical rematch. :)

I like everyone's positive thinking, but I just don't see FSU losing to Duke - EVEN IF Winston is charged. It could happen, but I think it's still a long shot. If we can't get there, I sure don't want the Barn getting there. I don't see a feasible way for us to get there. I'm pulling for Mizzou to beat the Barn like a rug, and I don't think it's impossible. The cows will be coming off of 2 emotional wins thinking they're invincible and just maybe taking Missouri a bit lightly. I just think that's more realistic than Duke beating FSU. I realize that wouldn't help us get to the big game, but my stomach can't stand the Barn going again.

The Rose pretty much has come out and said they will match Big10-Pac12 as long as they have eligible teams from which to choose. They are traditionalists and no way they pass on Mich St if they are eligible.

So we are going to a BCS bowl for sure? Or could we end up in the Cotton or Capital One?

We are. The top at large team is guaranteed to go to a BCS bowl as long as they are in the top 4. And there is no scenario where we wouldn't be in the top 4 and the top at large team.

My question is would Mizzou definitely jump is if we won? We can only assume that, but stranger things have happened in the BCS.

If the Barn loses and the other two teams lose, it would be Alabama vs Mizzou for the NC. The Barn is irrelevant in this equation because they would then have two losses. Actually, the Barn is always irrelevant. :p

We will be an automatic qualifier only if the SEC Champion isn't in the National Championship Game. If AU or Mizzou is in that game, then we would only be an available at-large team, albeit a quite desirable one.
