Latest news out of tuscaloosa from what I've heard says Saban is on way to getting a 5 star recruit out of Indiana. The player is reportedly the son of
Rich Castor (Ex wide reciever for the New York Jets). He plays quarterback and is 6' 4'' and 228lbs. I know a few sports reporters in the media here and a few of them say there is a good possibility this will start to surface in the media soon.

What's up with us going after so many qb's?? Star is basically a lock next week but there's all kinds of talk of other qb's in this class.

Its part of the recruiting game. You dont want a kid to think that you dont have other options. You dont wanna put all your eggs in one basket. Then hes not worried about losing his spot to another talented kid. You also want to create the perception that there are many recruits interested in the position. What school do you wanna play for: a school that few people wanna to go to, or a one that everyone wants to go to? Let a kid know that several good recruits would be more than happy to take his spot...and it puts the pressure on him to commit.

If this is the guy, it would be a big surprise. He has not been on the radar and he does not list any interest or an Alabama offer in his profiles. He is rated a 4 star on Rivals and a 3 star on Scout. He broke his left arm last Friday night in a game and had surgery this week. His top three are Michigan State, Minnesota, and Oregon.

I just watched his video and he looks like a very solid prospect, IMO. His throwing motion is a little awkward, but he has a very strong arm and seems to be pretty accurate. He's got good size and he is strong and physical when he runs the ball. It would be a very pleasant surprise if CNS gets him to BAMA.
