Somehow, The Gravedigger did not win best play.
Straying from CNS's speech, but since you brought it up: It was not a great play but a lucky one. Even in AU played that stupid rush 3 defense, it's probably a 1 in a 100 type play.

The throw was great and the catch even better, but simply luck. If you can't tell, I'm still a little miffed at why we were in the position in the first place. But I'm so glad it worked out. It would have been really bad if that was CNS's last meaningful game.

No luck at all required on the winning play. It was pure skill and execution.

In years to come people will see the national championships he won but his greatest victory was in the hearts of his coaches, players and fans. CNS instilled character for life.
