No ESPN or SEC Network on Spectrum (9/11 update: Settled)

I subscribe to youtube TV right before football starts and unsubscribe right after football ends. I did notice the price jumped up $10. It was around $65 a month last year, but now it's $75. Pretty pricey, but it's worth it to me.

Sound about right. Disney is raising their rates on everything. They are about to hike the price on Disney+ for the 3rd time in a year and a half. I read Iger's strategy is to make the ad free streaming platforms so expensive they are unpalatable to people and they move to the cheaper ad supported tiers where Disney actually gets more revenue even though they charge less.
Disney is in trouble

I use YouTube TV as my live provider, running on an AppleTV 4K, and connected directly to the back of the AT&T Fiber internet router with a 2GBPs subscription... I don't do slow internet.;) In my opinion, the AppleTV is the best streaming device on the market, and it's not particularly close. I have a Samsung Smart TV and I still prefer the AppleTV interface and performance.

Never a dropped pixel. Never a lag. Beautiful, stunning HD and 4K for about what I'd pay for cable if not less. I also have the Disney+/ESPN+/Hulu+ bundle tied to the YTTV subscription. I'll echo what others have said about being able to multiview in the ESPN app. It freaking rocks as long as the TV is big enough.

I turned on to watch the Florida vs Utah game last night and got a screen that essentially said that Spectrum was negotiating with Disney to show college football on ESPN. This included the SEC Network. I turned TV on this morning and the same disclaimer is on saying Spectrum is still negotiating with Disney and therefore unless Spectrum raises it rates ESPN will not be available to Spectrum customers. Anybody else have this problem?
I cut the cord and stream everything. AT&T did the same thing a few years ago. I got mad and fired them.

Latest word is, Spectrum has a brand new offer on the table. The tone of it sounds like ( I emphasize sounds like) Spectrum's new offer to Disney was a tad more generous. They have stated that the ball is now in Disney's court. Fingers crossed

YTTV works on pretty much anything, cell phone, tablet, computer, streaming device, etc.

You can likely plug your laptop into your TV and watch it that way instead of the laptop screen.

My TV has 4 HDMI inputs. I keep an HDMI cable plugged into one of them.

Most of the time, I just have the cable rolled up behind the TV, hidden from view. But when I have a Zoom or a slide show that I don't want on a small laptop computer monitor, I just reach behind the TV, unroll the HDMI cable, and plug it into my computer.

Change the TV's Input to the appropriate HDMI slot, and you have instant big screen from the computer.

I'm far from tech-savvy, but even I can handle that.

To be honest, it kind of makes you miss the good ol' days of the 70's and early 80's when your choices were 3 Major Network Broadcast Affiliates or an AM sports radio station during the day and if you were lucky an FM broadcast in the evenings. Followed up by a trip to the closest store, on Sunday morning, that had a Birmingham News paper box to get the quality write-ups and stats for your team's game the previous day......... :geek:

You forgot to mention the only way to see highlights.

Fubo is going to charge you from Day 1.

I just subscribed to You Tube TV and am enjoying a 2 month FREE trial. I already had a Google account so signup was fairly easy.

You will also need a streaming device to get this.

Watching SECN's "This Morning" right now......
It's only showing me a 21 day free trial. How did you get 60 days?
