The problem is not the Offense line coach. I believe it is using the wrong back.
When JJ is in the line-up there is no problem. We are trying to gear our whole offense around KD.

JJ is hitting the hole faster than KD but if you go back to Hawaii when he got more carries, his average was still miniscule.

Our OL coach is the problem.

Let Tenn PROVE they can stop him. The big hawce was getting positive yardage every time he touched it. Let him run it until he's doing as bad as Darby then we can rationalize sitting him for an entire half.

IT is quite simple, really. It is not the players...it is not capps or caldwell or a true frosh...it is not Britt or anyone else who puts on pads. It is CBC...PERIOD. Our OL is WORSE this year than last. YES IT IS. His coaching style is suited for 3 step drop and shotgun offenses of the Wazzou under Price variety. WE CANNOT RUN BLOCK. We have GOTTEN WORSE. The players get older and bigger and stronger...and worse. The bright spot on the OL is a frosh who has not been coached down yet. If we do not fix the problem (remove CBC) we will not win squat in 07 or 08.

Did my eyes deceive me but I think I acutally saw UT use the now famous "Bull Rush" technique on a few occasions and it still works on our OL.

It has to be coaching on the OL. We have changed blocking techniques and still we have been on a steady decline. What happend in 04 was what was left over from an OL with a mean streak. I never thought I would say ALABAMA has NO running game, but this is what it's come to. We are pretty good as pass-blocking but that alone is just simply not UA (elephants:conf3: ) smashmouth football.
