I believe the rule says the half can't end on a defensive penalty, but can end with an offensive penalty. But, I can't recall a penalty ever being transferred to the second half.

A dead-ball foul, which is apparently what the officials called, would carry over to the second half.

I'm confused as to why we went for a FG when down by 11 rather than going for it on 4th and 2. Three points isn't going to save us, and Utah's field position is the same as it would have been had we not converted on 4th and short.

Then again, I would have gone for 2 on the last touchdown. I jokingly told my wife I'd work for 2 million a year... surely I'm a bargain!

3 points would've put us within one score.

Whatever you do after this game, do NOT blame our coaches. Keep in mind we are playing with many people that Coach Saban did not recruit and he is doing the best with them that he can. We will flush out many of them after this game, with only a very few left after that. It takes a special player to play at the level that Coach Saban demands. He is rebuilding our program. BE PATIENT....Many good times are ahead....Hell, who expected him to go 12-1 this year? I know I didn't. Yet he accomplished it. And it was because of coaching our players UP.
