I agree, our successful runs are due to element of surprise and less about good blocksThat's not stopping him from calling more designed runs though, is it?
I said before the season that kicking in big time games was different than low pressure games and got drilled! How did this guy win the Groza award last year?
The Bama D is only marginally better. The UT O is gifting us left and right. He was out for one play, their backup QB threw a pick.
Overall two mules fighting over a turnip, but Bama leads 7-0.
So far the Bama D has looked better than recent games, but the offense is way outta sync and Bama is committing LOTS of penalties.

No, it used to be consistently bad. Now, it's bad when anything at all goes wrong - pressure, having to read down, etc. BUT, when he gets blown out, you are correct, he reverts to his old habits...His footwork has really always been bad. Thats something that hasn't improved
No one can convince me that Simpson could not do better. But I’m not complaining.
Most of those are RPO though, correct? In that case you are still putting the decision making in the hands of the QB in terms of how the play develops. If you are drawing up a designed run I assume it would be a bit different, but I am not at the level where I can dissect in real time what's an RPO and a designed run.16 yards on 9 carries. Idk man. I am having some thoughts I'm trying to keep to myself after that half

Milroe’s psyche feels pretty damaged right now. Pulling him now could finish the job. Hopefully CKD is doing some of that QB whispering we’ve heard so much about. No one can convince me that Simpson could not do better. But I’m not complaining.
If you can't run the ball, the question is, will they stay committed?I know you love the doom and gloom but Bama has two of the top 11 RBs in the 2025 class committed.
He may still be in concussion protocol. Can we put Tua in at half? It worked that one time.
That occurred to me, just to give JM a chance for some perspective, but I don't think CKD will do it...would it be worth a series with Simpson? A different look for the Vols defense and maybe a chance for JM to get his composure back...he's frantic right now

Come on man. This is professional football. Let him earn his keep.We haven’t prepared him for a situation like this at all.
No way you throw him to the wolves in this environment other than it being unavoidable due to an injury situation.
