Sark's a great OC, but this defense looks lost about half the snaps...

On the one big play on their last drive, everyone in the country knew in that part of the field they were about to take a shot….. Except Golding apparently who decides to rush 3.

Aside from showing up today thinking they were playing Texas Southern, and not the University of Texas, we seem to have big problems at WR (no one is getting open) and DB.

Big 12 refs are what they are, but even if half of the penalties were not legit, the ones that were are way too many.

I hope they wake up at halftime. Texas is not good enough to win this on their own. Not even close...

I have no idea what is going on here. Unmotivated? Gobbling up the rat poison? Play calling?

Well, we stunk it up about as much as we can in that first half. We get the ball twice at the 45 yard line and do two 3 and outs. And I don't know what's going on with the defense. No pass rush and the Texas QB's, (both of them), seem to hit just about everything they throw. We're playing way too tight on both sides of the ball. Hopefully we can sort this out during the break.

We'll see where it goes from here, but on paper this defense should be as good as any Saban defense has ever been.

It sure doesn't look like that right now and it's darn sure not for lack of weapons. The injury excuses, the experience excuses, the lack of depth excuses. They're not there and the defense still looks lost.
