I would say, as a Data Scientist who manages teams of Data Scientists, that the FPI is flawed. There is no way Alabama should be ranked that high after losing to Vandy and being blown out by a pitiful Oklahoma.

I've not seen them lower than 7. Your data would be the significant outlier

As I'm sure you know, these statistical ratings only measure efficiency "blind" and not wins and losses. They're predictive in nature

Milroe's situational awareness still kills me. 3rd & 1, he had an easy 2-3 yards for the first but waited for a bigger opening and gets tackled short of the first down AND fumbles the ball away to boot. I nearly threw my plate of popcorn shrimp as I spewed a stream of profanities. Take the 2 yards, and get a new set of downs!

All ML is predictive in nature. It's not necessarily reliable for forecasting--but predictive measures are still generated and then compared against historical results to measure the AUC.

DeBoer had quite an introduction into SEC football this season. I'm sure he learned a lot. There were some issues I wish he would have handled differently, especially the area of team discipline. Overall though, he did a decent job for his first season. As fans of the Tide, we all need to be supportive as he moves forward.

Literally nobody is Nick Saban. Even if we had hired Kirby Smart, we would likely have done about the same this season. Our offense is very limited with who we have at QB I for one, would not rather have anyone else as Head Coach. DeBoer will have a statue outside Bryant Denny by 2027.

I don’t see how seeing the Harris interactive poll no longer exists and the Sagarin has Bama at #7 and the coaches poll has the pm at #13. Those were the 3 prongs of the last bcs formula

It just seems unnecessary to compare him to Saban all the time. It's not fair to DeBoer, because nobody is Saban, and it only leads to inevitable disappointment.
