Just returned to hotel after my first game on site in 6 years. What an experience! Good first game...lots of good plays and lots to improve on in the coming days. The Zone is for real...never seen anything like it. Spent the day on the quad with tent, food, etc. and seeing some family and friends. Really tired...but really great day. I am amazed at what big time CFB has become...quite the show.
Utah State went 11-3 last year and won the MWC and we beat them 55-0 in a game we could have scored 90 if Saban wanted to.

It looks like Treshon has improved dramatically. Kobe Prentice is the real deal as well, very explosive. They both kept some pretty good players on the bench. Overall I see a definite shifting of personnel strategy to develop depth. Considering the historic lack of development cost us a title last year I am glad to see it. With the playoffs expanding it will be even more critical to make sure you not only get your depth playing time but even rest your starters at times. Obviously tight end is an issue and I'm not sold on our running backs yet. though if Gibbs is given a hole he knows what to do with it.
There was no doubt this game was about seeing players and different combinations from the get-go. Even before the game was "out of hand", there were a lot of substitutions. The middle of the OL, needs improvement so our stable of RB's can be turned loose. The talent and potential depth at WR is unreal. BTW, speaking of the WR position, it appeared #7 Brooks has slid down the depth chart at WR. Rarely saw him and when I did he showed signs of disinterest (body language type stuff).
That would make our league crappy and good players would not want to come play in a crappy league which most likely would make us crappy. I've never understood this mentality.
Very pleased with the results. Need to get a few things worked out but this team can be special.
