Bama Game Thread: Official PostGame Thread Bama vs. UTe...

I really hate these late games. I am tired but cannot seem to go to sleep.

It sucks Tua was hurt, but we really should not need him to beat the likes of Arkansas. We should still win by 3 scores. We looked a bit sloppy. I don't know if that had anything to do with the late start or not.

What you got in that cigar, Earl? RTR! Ugly, sloppy game, but beautiful nonetheless!
Frankly, I just forgot. Years ago, we used to just let the game thread ride. The, we split it in two, because the game threads got so long, so the post-game isn't really that old. However, it serves a purpose, because folk can chew over the game for days afterwards...

At the very least, Fulmer got his que tonight to start sharpening his knives to take over as “interim” head coach in a few games.

rgw,

It is his fault not accepting he had a guy coming clean and instead just run and slide once he got past the LOS - or run outside tackle and toss it - instead of trying to go lateral to the LOS a split second longer than he should to try to find a throw. These are the little things that are the difference between Tom Brady and Peyton Manning's long careers and guys who will have a few amazing seasons and succumb to injuries.

I'll have to go back and rewatch the play to be sure, but there was no time for any of this. He had no running lane up the middle, in order to get across the LOS and then slide. He was attempting to get outside the tackle, but wasn't fast enough. It's unfortunate, but I can't blame Tua for getting injured. The interception? Yes.

Defense ain't perfect but they made some plays in the second half. The TD by Diggs was a fluke but a fluke I'll take.
