This is understated. He may be the best safety in the country when it’s all said and done this year. Nevermind the 4 passes defended and the 2 picks, but his physical tackles are what impressed me the most.
SEC defensive player of the week ? Maybe National defensive player of the week.

From Jess' article:

LT Kadyn Proctor did not have his best game,
I think the shorter list and the more appropriate question is "When is the last time he's had a good game?" Because in every game this season he has shown up on the following week's SEC Network shows in some form or fashion, missing blocks and assignments. He's becoming a total liability at the position.

Manning was playing against Make-A-Wish kids in high school, so this really shouldn’t be a surprise to anyone.
But he’s been Texas’ system for 3 years and started 2 or 3 games last year. He’s injured or this is a miscalculation of monumental proportions. But I was so grateful that Sarkisian did not come to Alabama as HC, though I supported him as OC when many didn’t want him. But he was very blah at Washington, fired in the NFL.

If Manning is not injured he will be an albatross around UTx’s neck for a while. I feel sorry for the young man. Though I’ve not followed his journey closely, from a distance he seems like a humble, grounded person , who did not inordinately seek the spotlight or attention and has never been presumptuous.

If he’s not injured, his can become a sad tale. I read that Sarkisian said he was not hurt.

I was listening to College Football Nerds today and they spent a few minutes talking about Alabama, and one of the things they pointed out is that we only had 55 offensive plays in the game and 9 possessions, and to produce the amount of points and offense that we did in the game Saturday against what they consider to be a good defense is petty impressive. They didn't get into the upcoming UGA matchup, but I will be interested to hear their take because they were alluding to how our offense might be able to put up some points against them.

Since Tua? You think Ty is better than Mac was in 2020? He may be. Ty and Mac both had/have several great recievers who can catch and make plays. But one advantage Mac had over Ty was a much better OL. I do see a lot of similarities with Mac and Ty. I think Ty continues to improve. Agree he's one of the best we've had. I'm curious to see him in the bigger games.
Bryce Young was a pretty good passer as well. The problem was that he had neither the OL nor the receivers that Mac or Tua had, especially in his second season as a starter. Williams and Metchie were good, but after them there wasn’t much of anything.

That's true. Bryce had to scramble for his life several times. Fortunately, he was good at it.

Julio likely dropped more his first two years. Like Ryan, they were usually the easiest of balls to catch.
RW is an amazing athlete and when he gets the ball in space, he is a PROBLEM (for everybody not named Bama!). How good is he, really, at catching the ball? I sincerely don't know and I wonder how good his hands and technique are? I mean, I'll take him regardless but what is the take here by insiders?
