He will probably do very well in the combine in relation to speed and strength etc. He's always kept his nose clean and he's not a head case. NFL teams like that so I'm sure someone will think they can develop him. With that said, he certainly cannot read the field process the defense quickly. He might be a third rounder.
Michigan shut down our run today. The only back with any sort of success today was Young. They basically forced Milroe to read a zone.
There is another post explaining thatthey are beating Baylor; S.C. is beating Illinois
The only problem is that they see Milroe everyday and every game while Bama's number 3 is playing successfully at Pittsburg. The only reason another QB did not start or play is LANK. Obviously my opinion. The coaching staff see the backups in practice every day. I think folks are underestimating the idea that we might just not have a decent QB on the roster.
Germie Bernard is a star, I hope he comes back. I love this kid. You could see the frustration though late in the game.
I wish the guy was just ineffective. We could probably have survived that. But he went waaaay beyond ineffective and put us in a hole with keystone kop buffoonery that Tua would have had a hard time digging out of. Just like he did against Texas and Oklahoma, and to a lesser extent against Michigan 1.0, Vandy, and Tennessee.Jan 1st and Dec 31st have… If we had a quarterback that could hit a slant then we are 2-0 vs Michigan
I don't know if Byrne is the guy to do that, he was gullible enough to hire debore, maybe it should come from higher up for both of them.People have been saying this for awhile...........maybe Byrne needs to have a come to Jesus meeting with DeBoer and show him the way
Don’t do that to me lolDoesn't the portal have another window open before next season?
At this point I kind of hope Ty goes somewhere else and kills it.
He deserves a chance at success and we don't deserve him.
I do want to belabor a point. I believe in second chances, somewhat. Sark and Kiffin initially failed as head coaches then ended up at Alabama as OCs and were successful (though neither actually failed as an OC).Sheridan might end up being a bust, but I just can't judge him yet until he has a QB who is more capable of doing more things.
I appreciate the explanation.
To make it clear though, I'm not trying to say it's not Milroe's fault at all. I'm just saying I don't like the playcalling either.
Basically, if it ain't working then you shouldn't keep doing it. Even if they just mixed in more designed runs, or heck more plays like that reverse, etc... I think it could have made a big difference both by mitigating risk (runs for 0 yards early in the Michigan game would have been better than what actually happened) and balancing the offense more.
I just know you can't hand the ball off 12 times in a game like this (with the QB struggling) and think you as an offensive coordinator did your job correctly.
Or those that were thrown out of bounds.

Sheridan has already been a bust once. He was a failure as OC at Indiana and was fired. He was only an OC at Alabama as a plan B. So, I'm coming at it from the other direction in that I'm waiting to see if he's turned things around and so far it doesn't look great. Having one of the worst offenses in all of college football is not a great thing to have on your resume, and Sheridan has that.
So, my concern is that DeBoer out of nothing but blind loyalty will keep him around, even though there's no reason at all to believe he is the guy at coordinator to get the job done, and then if it turns out the QB isn't the only issue, what then? Another wasted season.
I'd much rather see someone that is proven as coordinator and I don't see a team so well coached that a shake-up at coaches isn't in order, but DeBoer thus far seems like he might not be the firing type, we'll see...
Portal closed Dec 28.It’s been fun, I think the team implodes and sees the exit via transfer portal. I hope not, but I’m not too optimistic .
He made me physically sick in 2020I quit FM when he became political.
good riddance
the pressure is going to be immense to make changes. Despite issue with QB and OL ... coaching staff did not adjust well.I do want to belabor a point. I believe in second chances, somewhat. Like I’m the only person who believes this happened?
