I won’t be able to watch any games today, or at least not until the later games. One of my cousins passed away, and his visitation and memorial are today. We weren’t close , haven’t seen him in several years, but being there for my aunt is much more important than a football game. (I should be able to listen to most of the 2nd half on the way home.)

From what I hear, Ty is an excellent dual quarterback who can run. But they don't want him to be running a lot early in the season. I think they did Penix like that.

Agree that the start of this season has a different feel to it...

And certainly not enamored with the weather forecast, and the hostile environment...

I am, however, buoyed by the response to the disrespect their QB has shown.

Intangibles such as these can offset a lot of negatives...

Excited to see Ty Simpson in charge, finally. Here's hoping he can deliver the goods. He's been in the system and now it is his time. Lots of talent around him. He just needs to be the conductor and not try to win it himself in this one.

We are the only team in the conference to either not have an SEC or neutral crew today. I can’t find another team who is having to face a team and a crew from that team’s conference at their home stadium across the nation. Good thing we always have the refs on our side.
