I wonder if Grubb remembers why he got fired from Seattle? I hope he does and RUNS DA BAWL!!! I know he loves to pass, but if he establishes the run and gets the OL in a rhythm, he can then pass all he wants. But I hope to god he doesn't come out throwing the ball all over the place, and the RB is just a blocker.

Yeah I hope last week taught him that being balanced just a bit opens everything up.

Riley is a weapon at RB and AK Dear too. We’ve got to get them a good amount of touches every game.

Brooks is going to be a Superstar too and looks like he could be effective from the Slot or Wide or on Shorter plays that are like runs… reverses, pop/shuttle passes etc.

If we are getting everyone involved with varied play calling we can use the run to set up the pass and vice versa.

Plus Ty looks incredible at both the Mid and Short range passing game and with the ability to pull the ball and get positive yardage with his legs.

We will be hard to defend as long as we don’t panic like game 1 and try to run long developing pass plays every dang play.

I’m more optimistic about the Offense.

I'm afraid some of the disconnect comes because they often scheme the RB to be the "first read" in pass plays, so they view that as part of the running game, as if it's only important because of the potential for yardage. I'm not convinced they understand it's how you control the game, and I'm leery that they'll truly understand that in short order

I just hope he SCORES TD's every possession...don't really care how.

If the result is always a touchdown, I don't care either. But the success or failure of our offense is more nuanced. I don't think the strength of our offense (especially OL) is to throw the ball 40+ times per game. We have more than one guy who struggles with consistent pass blocking. Whereas they seem to do better at run blocking. Getting into a blocking rhythm will always be key for this offensive line, and I think starting off running the ball and getting them into a rhythm is the best way for this offense (and offensive line) to function. It also controls the clock and keeps our defense off the field. That is what Seattle wanted Grubb to do, but for whatever reason, he didn't and got canned.
