We thumped Aubie pretty good last year. After today we can all say that means nothing. For all the faults our DC has he has owned Gus while he was at Tulsa and Aubie.

I'm not scared of AU, hit the Camster everytime they snap the ball and make him throw. I'm not sure he will be playing by the time we get a crack at him.
SP,

We'll all here be pulling for you, but pack your lunch. Gus threw everything but the kitchen sink at us last november and they nearly pulled it out. It took a late fourth qtr drive to win the game. We may not like it, we may hate it, but they HAVE some talent, despite a weirdo asst thug coach wearing a backwards hat and waving a damn towel all the time.

IDK if I would call Kentucky and Ole Miss "gimmes". Kentucky has enough talent to beat Auburn especially in Lexington, and every year Houston Nutt wins THAT one game his team isn't supposed to win (in 2008, at Florida), so I wouldn't call both games gimmes.

Auburn will have at minimum of 3-4 losses coming into the Iron Bowl.
Would you like to make book on that?:)

The same Ole Miss that lost to Jax State--in Oxford?

I'd love to agree with you but of this:

Oct. 2 ULM
Oct. 9 at Kentucky
Oct. 16 Arkansas
Oct. 23 LSU
Oct. 30 at Ole Miss
Nov. 6 Chattanooga
Nov. 13 Georgia

where do you see 3- 4 minimum losses? I see two strong possibilities: Arky and LSU
Bingo. And when Arkie comes calling, the barn will be 6-0 and more than likely top ten ranked.

Folks, not trying to be negative nelly here, but when you go down their schedule this is the logical conclusion. Unfortunately, our dear friends and family that support the barn are not going to go away quietly this year.

Take it a step farther and look at their remaining schedule and ours (with all the off weeks prior to playing us) and who is more likely of the two to roll into Tuscaloosa undefeated?

I also see 3 maybe 4 losses. Sorry, but it would not surprise me if Kentucky beat them in Lexington. I think Ark and LSU will beat them and, since AU doesn't have a week off until the week before the IB, I think Georgia could beat a running on empty Barn team.

Kentucky may be a stretch but I definitely see 3 losses as good possibility.

Auburn looks solid right now. They seem to get a lot of "gifts" from opposing teams, but to their credit they walk through the open door.

However, they are one injury away from half their offense going to the trainers table. That's the big difference in them and let's say, Bama, who doesn't depend on just one guy to get it all done.

They also will have to endure the other bumps and bruises as their season goes on so we'll see if last year's trend comes into play in the second half of the season.

Seriously, I do think that with the major lack of leadership from the Head Coach down, Auburn's season could turn on a dime very quickly. Their first loss will lead to many, many more IMO. It doesn't take much to lead to implosion on these types of teams.

Really. Take another look at their schedule. Arkie and LSU are the only two teams I see beating them before the Iron Bowl. I'm guessing they may have one or two losses, but not three or four before we play them.
Yes, I've seen their schedule. Yes I do agree that the remaining "toughness" of their schedule are at home. But, Kentucky playing at home and they do have enough talent to beat Auburn. Ole Miss, especiall Houston Nutt has that "wasn't supposed to win" game at minimum once a year. LSU, for all of the crap Les Miles takes, still has a pretty dang good defense (one that can dominate the "great" Cam Newton) if they can find some kind of offense they can beat Auburn. And after watching today's game I am more then convince that Arkansas can beat Auburn. With that said, I stand behind what I said, I think Auburn will ahve 3-4 losses going into the Iron Bowl. They are NOT good enough to run the table.

I think the "family" has a good shot at being undefeated when it comes to Tuscaloosa. They are scary fast on offense and their defense brings the wood. We might have to admit that the luck we keep complaining about is masking a pretty good team that really believes in itself.

I don't see them surviving the schedule, to be honest. And before people think I am being a homer, I also think Bama will lose a game so it's not blind homerism, either. Auburn lack of a legit running game (Dye/McCalebb/Fanning) will hurt them.

I agree with you.

Unless Newton gets injured (and he seems to rarely take a big hit) I think they are a good team. Lucky, too, but good.

Woke up early, just watched the finish of the replay.

My only notes of this game.
1) There was a block of empty seats in the upper deck near the end. How could it be a sellout?

2) Cam Newton hugged the ref at the end of the game.
