I tell you, this class as a whole is just bad. And it's so funny because these Barners are going on and on about what a great job Chizik is doing, you'd swear he's constructing the #1 class in the country.
They've got 14 commitments now (counting Carter tomorrow), and really no one to speak of. Scout.com currently has twelve of them as three-stars. And say what you will about Goodwin, but at least he did have legitimate offers from some top programs at one time. He's easily the best player in this class to date, and he's about the only prospect in the entire class to date that the top programs have even given the time of day.
Right now I say they get no more than six prospects in this class who will be rated four-stars or higher, and probably at most four players who drew legitimate interest from the top SEC programs, and that ought tell you all you need to know about the state of their recruiting. They are struggling every bit as much on the recruiting trails as Tuberville was in 2008 and 2009.
